  • Attraction: Augusta Jewel Cave

  • Description:  Just 8km north of Augusta on Caves Road is one of the most decorated caves in the world. Augusta Jewel Cave's magnificent formations and lofty chambers are a sight to be seen. The cave features the longest straw stalactite in any tour cave.

  • Description:  The historic Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse at Augusta is situated at the tip of a dramatic peninsula where the Southern and Indian Oceans meet - The most south westerly point of Australia. The landmark is one of the most popular and spectacular tourist attractions in the area. Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse opened in 1896 and it still serves as one of the world's most important navigational and weather facilities.

  • Description:  A fascinating collection of artefacts, photographs and books documenting the rich history of the Augusta-Margaret River Region.  Displays include details of families involved in the settlement of Augusta in 1830, which was the third European settlement in Western Australia, artefacts from local shipwrecks, from the MC Davies timber empire (1880s to 1915); the local environment, personal effects of early settlers, details of the 1920s group settlements, commemorative china, coins and medals, garments from various eras, church organs and the whale rescue events which put Augusta on world news headlines.

  • Description:  Come along Caves Road, through some of the finest tall forest and farmland in the South West, and discover the Boranup Forest Maze, nestled on the edge of the Boranup Forest. Stretch your legs and experience the forest trail atmosphere of the maze which is grown from native and exotic shrubs. Flowering in Spring you can collect seed for your own garden.
