  • Description: We are pleased to offer half day tours of historic Murchison House Station, one of the oldest and largest pastoral stations in W.A. Settled in 1848 by Charles Von Bibra to supply meat and wheat to the burgeoning district and remount horses for the Indian army. The station has over 60kms of rugged Indian Ocean shoreline and over 30kms of Murchison River floodplains. Because of the plentiful supply of water, with permanent springs and soaks and several year round creeks, wildlife is abundant.
    Large flocks of birds abound, kangaroos and emus are plentiful and feral goats are everywhere. The homestead is sited on the tranquil banks of the Murchison River, surrounded by hundreds of large river gum trees, just 13kms from Kalbarri town centre.
